Did you know that Fall is the best time to paint. The temperatures are cooler, the air is dryer, containing very little humidity which is a key factor in successful paint application. During spring and summer wood is contracting and expanding in a short period of time due to frequent--even daily--temperature and humidity changes. In Fall, the temperature vary within a narrow range--from highs of 65 to lows of 40. Fall temperatures also help caulk, putty and paint dry faster--the way they are supposed to dry--creating tight bonds between the surface and the paint. Just food for thought. Happy Fall!
